TAKE ACTION
As you know, we are at a critical place in our nation, and you will play a critical role in the direction we will take at “such a time as this.” Pastor Matthias Burnet (1803) left a message to our generation, “Let not your children have reason to curse you for giving up those rights and prostrating from those institutions which your fathers delivered to you.” The next few weeks are crucial. Here is a checklist of information that I think you’ll find helpful.
VOTER REGISTRATION/VOTER CONFIRMATION – Voter registration is for those who are not yet registered to vote. Voter confirmation is for those who are not sure if they are registered to vote. Faith Wins has made it easy to check your voting status by setting up a QR code that directs to the Michigan Secretary of State website. See Faith Wins “Voter Confirmation Find Your Polling Place” QR code below.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS - Most experts say that the election will be determined by absentee ballots. Absentee ballots will begin to be mailed on September 26th and can be requested through the Secretary of State. Faith Wins has made it easy by setting up a QR code that directs to the Michigan Secretary of State website. See Faith Wins “Voter Confirmation Find Your Polling Place” QR code below. As a reminder, you may request an absentee ballot online or request one in person from your city clerk. After filling out your ballot, it may be mailed by October 21st or delivered in-person by November 5th at 8:00 p.m.

*Suggestion for a fun voting activity is to get a group of friends or church members and plan to vote together at the same time, same day, and then grab coffee, donuts or a meal and gather to pray for God‘s will and blessing on our country.

VOTER GUIDE RESOURCES
VOTER ELECTION INTEGRITY – We need honest eyes on the voting process! Please consider participating in poll working! Faith Wins has made it easy to become involved in this critically necessary ministry. There are several types of poll workers that are needed; some are paid positions. Please click on the QR Code below and sign up! Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
PRAY FOR AMERICA - VOTE BIBLICAL VALUES - God has blessed America with freedom and liberties like no other in modern history. Pray and ask God to direct your vote as we seek to be good stewards of this amazing gift. Ask God’s mercy, grace, and guidance so that we might be the salt to preserve our country from decay, and the light to lead it to Jesus, who alone can change the heart. “Therefore the Law has become our guardian to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.” (Galatians 3:24). “What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin.” (Romans 7:7a)
QUOTES
“To God and posterity you are accountable for your rights and your rulers.” - Pastor Matthias Burnet (1803)
“Let not your children have reason to curse you for giving up those rights and prostrating from those institutions which your fathers delivered to you.” - Pastor Matthias Burnet (1803)
“Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote...that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.” -Samuel Adams
“Now, more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature. If the next centennial does not find us a great nation . . . it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces.”
– U.S. President James A. Garfield (1831-1881), preacher, college president
“The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity”. – U.S. President John Quincy Adams, Speech delivered July 4, 1837, Newbury Port, Massachusetts
“Providence has given to our people the choice of their ruler, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.” - John Jay First Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court
“Independent of its connection with human destiny hereafter, the fate of republican government is indissolubly bound up with the fate of the Christian religion, and a people who reject its holy faith will find themselves the slaves of their own evil passions and of arbitrary power” – Lewis Cass (1782-1866), First Governor of the Michigan Territory.

Your participation is critical to mobilizing Christian voters to have an impact on restoring our Judeo-Christian heritage. We fully believe this can be done if the Church will intentionally become a dominate voice in the public square and as active participants in the governing of our great country that God has so graciously shed His grace on. Thanks for connecting with Michigan Lighthouse Ministries. Together we will make a difference!
Seminar topics:
God’s Three Ordained Institutions – This presentation will share God’s ordained three institutions, and their role in society, their purpose and their limits.
“In God We Trust” – Our National Motto has been under attack, but has with stood attacks historically, and legally. You will be amazed to see Judeo-Christian values on display since 1776.
“The Wall of Misconception” – The Johnson Amendment and churches’ 501c3 status have silenced the church for almost 70 years. Two generations of Pastors, Christians, and Americans have bought into the lie. This presentation will deliver the truth about our 1st Amendment Rights.
The Deception of Neutrality – People often say, “I don’t want to get involved,” “Why vote? My vote won’t make a difference anyway,” “I am sitting this one out,” “The government isn’t asking me to do anything against God.” Come and discover why there is no such thing as neutrality.

“The patriot who feels himself in the service of God, who acknowledges Him in all his ways, has the promise of Almighty direction, and will find His Word in his greatest darkness, “a lantern to his feet and a lamp unto his paths.” He will therefore seek to establish for his country in the eyes of the world, such a character as shall make her not unworthy of the name of a Christian nation.” – Francis Scott Key (1779-1843)
